Aluminum is a manufactured resource used to build Improvements, National Projects, Aircraft, Missiles, and Nuclear Weapon.
Like all manufactured resources, any nation can produce Aluminum, regardless of continent.
Aluminum Refineries produce Aluminum, which requires the raw resource, Bauxite, to produce. Aluminum Refineries are relatively expensive to build, but Aluminum is usually sold at a high price. Players can either produce their own Bauxite natively, or purchase it on the market to refine into Aluminum.
Aluminum is produced at a rate of 1 Bauxite per 3 Aluminum. Each Aluminum Refinery uses 0.25 Bauxite per turn, and produces 0.75 Aluminum per turn. You can build up to 3 Aluminum Refineries per city.
The Bauxiteworks National Project changes the Aluminum production rate from 0.75 per turn, to 1.02 per turn. It also increases Bauxite consumption relatively. To increase Aluminum Production, a nation can increase the number of Aluminum Refineries it has or build the Bauxiteworks National Project.
Aluminum is an important resource used in building military units, improvements, and national projects. Aluminum is comparable to Steel but has different uses.
*All Formulas Are Per Turn Unless Otherwise Noted
Aluminum Refinery Production = Aluminum Refineries * 0.75
Aluminum Refinery Production w/ Bauxiteworks = Aluminum Refineries * 1.02
