Tournament Registration Rules
Anyone (who has not been banned from the test server) may participate in the tournament. Registration on the test server will be disabled for 3 days before the start date, and enabled at the start date until three days after the start date. Registration will be disabled 14 days after the start date, after which no new players may join the tournament for its duration.
Starting Beige Time
Each nation will start on Beige, and will remain on Beige for its first 2 turns.
Starting Money, Resources, and Cities
Each nation will start with $500,000,000, 1,000,000 Food, and 350,000 of all other resources. Each nation will start with 5 Cities.
General Test Server Information
The test server is a copy of the game that runs a separate database. Having an account on the regular game does NOT mean that you automatically have an account on the test server. Accounts are regularly deleted from the test server to prepare for new tournaments or for development testing. Do NOT expect any progress on the test server to be permanent, and your nation may be deleted or changed at any time.
You are NOT allowed to have multiple nations on the test server. Each player is allowed ONE nation. We do not do Verification on the test server. If you are caught with multiple nations, you will be permanently banned from participating in any test server activity, including current and future test server tournaments.
The test server operates at a faster pace than the regular server. Turns on the test server happen 2x as fast, or every hour. Midnight updates on the regular server happen every 12 hours on the hour on the test server.
Trading and Banking may be disabled on the test server. This is to prevent cheating, which otherwise tends to happen a lot due to the high starting amounts of money and resources
Donations and Credits are disabled on the test server. Please do not try to buy Credits on the test server.
New features different from what's available on the regular server may be in play. There may also be prizes to winners of tournaments. Check the Changelog for details.

Politics and War was started in 2013 by Alex Winchell who was just a high school student from Montana who dreamed of making his own game. Inspired by older nation simulation games like Civilization 3, Age of Empires, Nation States and Cyber Nations, Alex decided (with no experience) he was going to make his own game. With Google and dozens of attempts and failures, he finally launched Politics and War in August of 2014. Since then, he has continued to work on and add to the game. In recent years, many players have contributed greatly to the continued development and Politics and War continues to be steered by the community in terms of new content and gameplay updates.
